 Brigitta Holzschuh

We wish Brigitta Holzschuh well, as she will be studying in Germany for the summer. Luckily (through the magic of the internet) she, as a Chalmers Media Tech, will still be able to prepare the slides for Chalmers services from afar. Have fun on your adventure.

Music Licensing Volunteer FOUND!

Thank you to Marian H. for volunteering to submit music copyright materials!

Music LicensingLooking for a volunteer to submit music used during services to the licensing company, OneLicense. This is done online. We all enjoy the wonderful music at Chalmers, but musicians need to be paid, and by submitting the copyright information that is shown in the bulletins, is how it happens. Past bulletins are stored in a binder in the office. Some computer skills are required and musical knowledge would be an asset. Should take less than an hour a month. Please contact Linda Steinberg for more details.

Choir Bass needed

It’s all about the Bass

We have greatly enjoyed our addition to the choir for the month of April, the Rev Paul Currie. Unfortunately, we released him to return to his home choir at Edith Rankin Memorial United Church and now no longer have a bass. If you can sing bass and read music, please consider joining the choir. Currently the only rehearsals are before church Sunday morning. Please contact Linda Steinberg or a choir member to volunteer as Juliet will be on vacation for a few weeks.

Covid Update

Nick SteinbergNews

Chalmers is open for live services

Chalmers’ regionally appointed Administrator David King and the Reopening Team continue to monitor and re-evaluate our protocols as the provincial pandemic response evolves.  We are balancing the need to get together and the need to stay apart.  You will notice certain changes have already occurred – hymn books, choir changes, processions.  Travel restrictions have been lifted.  MacCallum Hall is open for a bit of social time after the service (but no coffee or tea yet).

However, certain restrictions such as Double Vaccinations, Physical Distancing, and Masking are still required.  Caution is still necessary as potentially several thousand people in our area are infected.

As always, we encourage you to take whatever additional steps necessary to ensure your comfort and safety. Please ensure that you keep yourself as safe as possible.  For those who still feel uncomfortable attending live services, we continue to offer services via live streaming and subsequent posting to YouTube.

Thank you

Benevolent Program

The Blessing Box is in need of: Kraft Dinners and small jars of peanut butter. Your donations are welcome at Church House any day of the week, just let us know when you are coming please.

Note: We were informed on Tuesday, that a gentleman we’ve been assisting has sadly passed away, he was only 61. It was he who had had this meal, in the photo we shared earlier this month. May we continue to do what we can, to help those in need.
