Dawn Clarke, Topic: Homelessness
Dawn has been involved with the Manse transition initiative at St. Andrew’s Church to a shelter for men since its inception last year. She is a retired United Church minister, and a retired high school English teacher. In addition to her volunteer work with the manse project, as a social activist she contributes many volunteer hours to working on housing solutions for Kingston’s many unhoused people. With others last fall and winter, she was responsible for publicizing their plight and generating support for the sleeping cabins project at the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour.
