    From the Chalmers Commission: The Structures Working Circle (SWC) has now had two fruitful round-the-circle conversations. The object of the time limited conversations is to recommend a model of congregational administration/decision-making reflective of Chalmers present needs and capacity. The model will feature the principles of Restorative Practice which all our Circles have been using. At the last meeting, the group reviewed the additional underlying principles we wish in our decision making and some of the governance requirements of the United Church of Canada Manual.     The Structures Working SMALL Group (David, Nick and me) has been beavering away on how best to outline to all Chalmers’ folk how we see the structure of our decision-making body, and what and how the Circles will contribute to the next months at Chalmers.  We have some outlines of responsibilities of each of the Circles, and now want each of the Circles to discuss their lists of potential responsibilities, and give some feedback.  All the Circles are being asked to meet sometime between now and next Thursday, January 27 to review what they have been doing.  More information will ...
