Eleanor Neil Ladies’ Lunch Bunch
In 1992 Eleanor and Palmer Neil moved to Kingston and chose Chalmers United Church as their church home. At a Women of Chalmers meeting a few months later, Eleanor told the gathering about a ladies lunch group that had operated at their previous church. Those ladies would go out together to a restaurant once a month. Eleanor asked if anyone would be interested in forming such a group. Thus our Ladies’ Lunch Bunch was born. Eleanor led the group by making reservations and inviting new people until her untimely death in 2003. In memory of Eleanor, we decided to name the group the “Eleanor Neil Ladies’ Lunch Bunch.”
We visit many restaurants in Kingston. Our December Christmas lunch is always held in a private room at a restaurant, at which time we invite extra guests and have a fun gift exchange.
We meet the first Friday of each month. All ladies of the congregation are very welcome. If you are new at Chalmers, it is a wonderful way to get acquainted with a dozen or more ladies in an informal setting. For further information please contact Chalmers Church office.
Chalmers / Sydenham Street Joint Lunch and Learn Group

Women of Chalmers
Our mission is to provide opportunities for women of the congregation to gain a sense of community and fellowship within our church. The Women of Chalmers provide fellowship, education and service through our many efforts in the congregation. We host several fundraisers throughout the year directing monies raised to a worthy cause within the congregation, the community or beyond. Watch for the Christmas cookie sale in early December.
The women of Chalmers also host potluck suppers five to six times a year, providing times of fellowship and education the whole congregation.
Check the Home Page for all upcoming events hosted by the Women of Chalmers.
